Irene is an international student from UNIFI (University of Florence), joined the ICI master program in M2, double degree (Promo 2024)

1) Why did you choose the double degree ?

I chose to pursue the double degree to benefit from the complementary strengths of both institutions.

This kind of experience inevitably leads to the acquisition of new skills, connections and knowledge, valuable not only for my field of study but also for my strengths and interests for the future.

2) The most striking thing about courses?

If I have to choose one of the most interesting aspects of the courses offered by the ICI master’s program, I would say that I was impressed by the amount of time and effort invested by many professors to provide us with all the tools to understand a certain subject, trusting our ability to conduct innovative projects and present our results.

3) Any advice for future students?

My advice to future students is to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by the University. They can be valuable resources for your future career and may only come once in a lifetime.

Anna is a research engineer in a laboratory dedicated to analytical chemistry that carries out forensic analysis on behalf of the judicial system. She is a professional in « continuing education » enrolled in the ICI program, promo 2024.

Why did you decide to go back to university? 

We observe a constant evolution in requests in order to provide increasingly specific answers. After 4 years' experience in my department, the opportunity offered by my employer to take further training as part of my professional activity is a real asset.

How will this Master program add value to your career? 

The ICI Master's degree enabled me to discover advanced domains and innovative tools in the field of chemistry, which I had not seen in my initial academic training.

Thanks to this latest knowledge, I will be able to put new skills to good use in my daily work, but also for R&D projects in which I would like to get involved, to bring a fresh vision to my team's activities.

Your experience in 3 words?

High-level, support, diversity 

The Master ICI is a demanding, high-level academic program, where I found a real commitment from the various teachers: my situation was taken into account, and I was accompanied regarding my knowledge and professional objectives.

Finally, I really enjoyed studying for a few months alongside the other students of different nationalities, ages, educational backgrounds and professional goals. It was a very enriching experience!
