Hyaluronic Acid Based Hydrogels for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine

Professeur David Eglin, Département Biomatériaux au Centre Ingénierie Santé, Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne et INSERM SAINBIOSE

Where ? Ecole des Mines, amphi L.109

Abstract : Hyaluronic acid (HA) Hydrogels have shown great potential as biomaterials for tissue repair strategies. This lecture aims to present the optimization and the biophysical properties of hyaluronan-based hydrogels and investigate their capabilities for stem cell engineering and tissue repair. In addition to advancing our understanding of crosslinking strategies, investigation on how hyaluronan networks influence mesenchymal stem cells will be shown. Recent advance in biofabrication processes and hyaluronan bioinks will be reported in the context of cell-instructive biomaterials.
