Structural analysis of soft matter with scattering techniques and its application in designing functional materials
The structure plays a crucial role in defining a material’s properties. In soft matter systems, these structures can be chaotic and challenging to control. My talk highlights multiple studies that utilize recent advancements in polymer synthesis and polymer physics to develop functional materials with customized physical properties. Scattering techniques, such as X-ray, neutron, and light scattering, have proven essential in uncovering nanoscale structures and influencing our material design approaches. I will cover various systems, including gels, colloids, polymer crystals, and transient polymer networks.
