Scientific common core

The first year is devoted to teaching a common core that includes several disciplines to provide the student-engineer with a complete level of scientific knowledge in the field of the sciences of matter and its transformations.

The curriculum includes basic courses in mathematics, physics, computer science, courses oriented towards the theoretical foundations of chemistry (physiochemistry, structure of matter) and courses in organic chemistry and analytical chemistry. Classes are supplemented by hands-on exercises designed to teach basic chemistry during a day, starting with safety rules and risk management.

Discovering engineering trades

The engineering trades are introduced through management courses focused on discovering the business world. In the second semester a transdisciplinary project allows students to learn to manage a team project over a period of six months by learning how to report to a client. After the finals in May, students manage long hands-on projects or projects in a research laboratory.
