CVEC: Payment of the Student Life and Campus Contribution (CVEC)
The Payment of the Student Life and Campus Contribution (CVEC) is mandatory, and the fee for the 2026–2027 academic year is 105 euros. The CVEC is governed by the “Student Guidance and Success” Act, enacted on March 8, 2018. Every student enrolled in an undergraduate program at a higher education institution must obtain, prior to enrollment, a certificate of payment for the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC), either through payment or exemption. The CVEC helps fund a variety of initiatives to improve your student life.
Scholarship students
Many scholarships qualify for an exemption. Even if you are exempt, you must obtain and submit your payment receipt.
Exemption
The following students are exempt but must follow the procedure to obtain a certificate of exemption:
- refugee students,
- students granted subsidiary protection,
- students registered as asylum seekers who have the right to remain in the country,
- recipients of French government scholarships, and recipients of scholarships for health and social services programs in certain regions
Students enrolled in vocational training programs and continuing education programs
You don't need to take any action; you are not subject to the CVEC.
Be sure to complete the necessary steps regarding your student and campus life fee before the start of the semester, even if you are exempt from this fee. Without a CVEC certificate, you will not be able to register or attend lectures, tutorials, or lab sessions.
