The Chimie Pekin Franco-Chinese Institute (BUCT-Paris Curie Engineering School) is an engineering school resulting from a partnership between the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) and a consortium of member schools of the Gay-Lussac Federation (FGL), led by Chimie ParisTech - PSL.

Chimie Pekin opened its doors in September 2017. In 2025, it began its 9th academic year with increasing enrolment: 468 students spread over 7 years of study.

The French touch in engineering

Chimie Pékin offers a three-year preparatory course, taught in French and Mandarin, followed by « French-style » engineering training that meets the criteria for both Chinese master and French engineering degree. During the engineering cycle, students choose one of the following specialisations:

  • Materials science
  • Chemical engineering
  • Bioengineering

The programme also has an international and multicultural dimension.

An opportunity for student mobility

For several years, Chimie Pekin has been welcoming second-year engineering students, who spend their second semester combining classes and internship in company.

Study mobility is also possible during the first semester of the third year of the engineering programme.
