Friday 10th of September 2:00 PM Room Prefabriqué 1 at Chimie ParisTech – PSL
Thermoluminescence or thermally stimulated luminescence is a perfect tool to characterize the defects in the luminescent materials. In general, defects should be limited in the Optical Materials as defects decreased the light yield and could give some afterglow for instance in bioimaging. In contrary, for some important applications such as datation, dosimetry and persistent luminescence it is important to control the depths of the traps. This seminar will present the use of different strategies and the use of the thermoluminescence in several domains.
