The Company Pierre Fabre and the Société de Chimie Therapeutique (SCT) are awarding the « Pierre Fabre Award for Therapeutic Innovation » Prize to Gilles Gasser for his original scientific contributions in the field of therapeutic innovation.

The jury awarded the prize « Pierre Fabre Award for Therapeutic Innovation » to Gilles Gasser from the Inorganic Chemical Biology Team (ICB) – Institute of Chemistry for Life and Health Sciences (i-CLeHS) for his pioneering work in Inorganic Chemical Biology, Medicinal Inorganic Chemistry and Medicinal Organometallic Chemistry. This prize of 3000 € is financed by Pierre Fabre Médicament.

The « Pierre Fabre Award for Therapeutic Innovation » is a distinction conferred each year on the occasion of the International Conference on Medicinal Chemistry (RICT) and the Laureate is invited to deliver a 45-minute plenary lecture. However, due to the exceptional circumstances faced with the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the 56th International Conference on Medicinal Chemistry (RICT 2020), due take place in Bordeaux July 1 – 3, 2020, has been postponed to July 7 – 9, 2021 in Bordeaux.
