During the 2nd or 3rd year of the engineering program, Chimie ParisTech - PSL offers its students the opportunity to follow an apprenticeship in the form of professionalization contracts.
Procedure
Students who want to follow an apprenticeship during their second year are recruited by a company for a period of one year starting in September (at the start of the school year). Students are paid and sign a professionalization contract with the company using form CERFA 12434*02. The company can renew the contract through the third year of the engineering cycle.
Students then submit their contract to Chimie ParisTech - PSL and the school establishes and sends to the host company an agreement to be signed by the school and the company. This contract lists the detailed program of the courses taken as well as the apprenticeship calendar for the school year.
The company and Chimie ParisTech - PSL then sign a training contract that specifies the courses followed by the student with the number of hours of classes per semester, the billing conditions and the possible support of an accredited collection organism. An appendix specifies the students’ weekly schedule and how they will split their time between the company and the school. The training costs are at the expense of the company and amount to 6,900 euros.
