In the context of a globalized economy, the profession of engineer has now transcended borders. Whether in an SME or in a large international group, projects now go beyond national boundaries. Products must now meet European and international standards and technological solutions are deployed over several countries, or even over an entire continent.

AN INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING CURRICULUM

Chimie ParisTech - PSL’s engineering program is based not only on sound scientific bases, but also on strong social and cultural skills. Engineers must be able to work in intercultural, diverse and varied environments.

This is why international stay periods of at least one semester are compulsory for all our students. These stay periods can be done as a semester of study abroad (during the 3rd year), an internship (2nd or 3rd year) or through a dual-degree. The school has signed agreements with prestigious partners to enable students to successfully complete their stay periods.

Every year, the school welcomes about thirty European and international students for exchange periods, Erasmus, internships or dual-degrees. They represent 20% of the school’s students.

 

THE EELISA EUROPEAN ENGINEER

To strengthen the openness of the school, Chimie ParisTech - PSL is part of one of the 41 European Universities funded by the Erasmus+ programme: EELISA . The ambition is to define the European engineer of the future: a citizen capable of contributing to the resolution of major societal challenges. New training and mobility opportunities will be developed with new means to foster European interactions. Eventually, all the students of the school will have an EELISA experience providing them with the necessary skills to make their contribution to society during their studies and then their career.

MASTER’S STUDENTS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE

Chimie ParisTech’s Master’s program is supported by the PSL University. The school contributes to 4 Master’s programs, two of which are taught in English: Nuclear Energy and Chimie Paris Centre – Frontier of Living Matters program.

INTERNATIONAL CAMPUSES

Chimie ParisTech is involved in several international engineering schools. Its academic actions open opportunities for the school’s engineering students.

Chimie Pekin is the result of a partnership between the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) and member schools of the Fédération Gay-Lussac (FGL). It is coordinated by Chimie ParisTech.

Some of the school’s teacher researchers are teaching at the French-Chinese Institute for Nuclear Energy (IFCEN), and at ICARE (Sino-European Institute for Clean And Renewable Energy).

INTERNATIONAL JOINT SUPERVISION PHD PROGRAMS

The school is gradually developing international joint supervision PhD programs. As a symbol of excellent and lasting scientific relations, joint supervision PhD students benefit from the best assets of both partners.

Since 2018, six joint supervision programs have been set up, notably with Mexico, China, South Africa and Canada.
